What is the deal with shoes that have been turned into boots? I don't understand the idea behind taking a perfectly normal looking shoe design and transforming it into some horrific boot/shoes with built in socks shaped monstrosity. Designers, if we want covered legs while wearing courts we use this crazy invention called TIGHTS!
These Tie boots by Steve Madden have clearly annoyed me. I see no redeeming features about the pair except (perhaps) the cognac shade of brown. While these might have made a perfectly lovely pair of leather courts, or an equally acceptable pair of suede knee boots, the marriage of the two just does not work if you ask me. Hopefully this is the last we'll see of this odd notion.
